College History
The National Institute of Early Childhood Education was established in 1995 as ABC Early Childhood Training College. From its inception to the current day, the College has maintained its focus on delivering the highest quality early childhood training available.
This specialisation enables NIECE to remain at the forefront of industry standards and provides students with a leading edge when entering the industry as a qualified child care worker.
NIECE recognised at an early stage that flexibility in delivery of training is essential in ensuring all students have access to education. With this in mind, courses have been developed and are delivered by a range of options including:
• Classroom based tuition;
• External, self-paced delivery; and
• Combined workshop-based and self-paced delivery, particularly for Trainees and Apprentices.
Mission Statement
The mission statement for National Institute of Early Childhood Education is: Working towards the continuous pursuit of excellence in early childhood services, through high quality training programs that reflect the needs of early childhood services and support and direct industry trends.
Statement of Aims
NIECE aims to provide the highest quality training programs for students looking for a career in Early Childhood settings throughout Australia and overseas.
We achieve this by providing highly qualified staff and lecturers, who bring to their students a wealth of knowledge and early childhood professional experience.
Students at our College are actively involved in theoretical and practical experiences, both on and off the job. This training enables students to gain valuable, comprehensive skills for working in Early Childhood settings.
A career choice that involves working with young children brings many rewards. As students become involved in nurturing the growth, development and education of young children they will also be furthering their own development as an Early Childhood professional.
